In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In Chicago, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies received reiki to help them manage on-the-job stress. These are their session outcomes. Just two years after I first approached the JTDC, I was able to teach a Reiki Level 1 class to six residents and two staff. It was an incredible experience, and hopefully the first of many more like it.
