Chicago police officers receive ongoing training at a facility on the south side. Instructors there teach everything from how to respond to calls during a power outage (no light), to de-escalation of Use of Force.

Just two years after I first approached the JTDC, I was able to teach a Reiki Level 1 class to six residents and two staff. It was an incredible experience, and hopefully the first of many more like it.
