Since 2011, the Reiki Brigade has been serving Chicagoland while raising awareness and availability of the benefits of Reiki. We do this by offering demonstrations, presentations, and occasionally classes within underserved populations and large institutions. To date we have shared reiki experiences with more than 6,000 Chicago Police officers, incarcerated individuals, veterans, medical school students, medical conference attendees, residents of the foster care system, etc.

Application Process
We are reiki ambassadors, so the way we present ourselves impacts the way Reiki is perceived. Successful candidates will be enthusiastic Reiki channels, reliable, professional, and effective and confident in communication about Reiki. Know that events take place during weekdays, evenings, and sometimes on weekends. As a volunteer, you are able to choose which events you’d like to attend, depending on your availability and interest in the group we are serving. However, if you have a full-time job, it may be necessary to take time off to attend certain events.

Let’s start with a conversation about your interest in Reiki and volunteerism. Email me to arrange a time for a video chat.
Step #2: Complete the Application
Once we’ve had our chat, you can complete the Reiki Brigade application. Then send it back to me with all the requested documentation.
Step #3: Make a Contribution to the Reiki Brigade
When I have your completed application, I’ll send you a link to make a tax-deductible donation to the Reiki Brigade. Your $60 contribution covers the expense of processing your application, your 45-minute Training Session, and your Reiki Brigade T-shirt.
Step #4: Attend a Training Session
You already know how to channel Reiki, so this get-together is designed to help you hit the ground running at your first outreach event. We’ll go through our procedures and materials, and make sure you’re comfortable with frequently asked questions you may encounter on your first day. You’ll leave this session excited, confident, and with a brand new T-shirt!
