Reiki Class for INVC and SOS Children's Villages Staff

Our Johnny Appleseed business model includes introducing people to Reiki with tangible, hands-on experiences, and teaching people to work with Reiki themselves. After several events at both the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago and SOS Children’s Villages, staff from each organization were interested in taking a Reiki Level 1 class.

What are you hoping to gain from this class?
“I want this for myself.”
”I want to help others with Reiki.”
”I want to understand better, so I can explain it to people more effectively.”

They came in curious and enthusiastic. They learned the history, philosophy, and some science behind Reiki. They learned what Reiki can do for people, and what it cannot. They asked great questions. They practiced with heart. Their one-on-one paired exercises were powerful and confidence-building.

And now all of these people have Reiki at their disposal 24/7, and both of these incredible organizations have in-house Reiki channels who can support their peers.

Thanks for INVC for hosting the event and providing lunch. And huge thanks to volunteer Sophie Lissalde and her husband for sponsoring the class.

We look forward to supporting and mentoring these new Reiki lights as they develop their relationship with this incredible gift.
