Our Research Paper Is Published!

“Results: Reiki sessions were provided to 1,724 members of high-stress communities throughout Chicago. The majority of participants reported significant change in stress (72.62% reduction overall) and pain (63.34% reduction overall) following a single ten-minute session. Quantitative results were statistically significant, with a p-value of <0.01 in all categories. Most participants felt very relaxed and reported feeling less pain and profound surprise at the positive outcome post-session.”

Years of work went into this study and we’re incredibly proud to share the impact of these Reiki sessions—the relief we see at every event—with the world. Give it a read to see why we do what we do, and why we hope to inspire others to do the same. Reiki is one of the greatest gifts you can give to someone in distress, and the world would be a better place if more people were sharing it.

Big thanks to co-author Sana Habiya, NEIU for the use of their IRB and REST statistics dept, Dr. Natalie Dyer who suggested we publish the results of our surveys, Frontiers in Psychology for helping us to hone our piece into its current, professional and compelling form, and most of all, the 30 practitioners who gave the sessions alongside me. We look forward to continuing this work, bringing more of the benefits of Reiki into the light to make them accessible to more people.
